About Me

Why I Started

Hi! My name is Judy aka JudyRox and I am a health and fitness enthusiast from south Texas. I started my fitness journey back in 2011 because I had to find a positive escape from the turmoil that was going on in my life at the time and I found that in health and fitness.  For the first time in my life, I actually cared about what I put into my body. I found new healthier habits, changed my way of thinking, turned negative thoughts into positive ones, went head on with my personal demons and my life was forever changed. I have four beautiful children who inspire and motivate me to be better every day. It really is YOU vs. YOU and you must dig deep if you're truly looking for a transformation, for real change, and for a better and brighter future.

Things I Enjoy Doing

  • Traveling with my kiddos
  • Weight training and bodyweight training
  • OCRs
  • Riding my bike
  • Running outdoor trails
  • Gardening and tending to my yard
  • Sunbathing at South Padre Island

My Approach to Health & Fitness

Be consistent. No body is built the same and we all face different struggles so I always say that we shouldn't compare ourselves to each other. Stick to one program and be consistent and after a few weeks if you don't see the results you seek then it's time to change it up! I had to change my plan so many times before I found the plan that worked for my body type.

Stick to the basics. Old-fashioned healthy eating habits and bodyweight training can give you really good results. You don't need supplements and a fancy gym to see results. You just need a plan that's designed for you and that's aligned with your unique goals.

Examine your posture and your sleeping habits. Most of the aches and pains you're feeling could be due to bad posture, poor walking and not sleeping well or not sleeping properly. As you become consistent with your workout program and you become more in tune with your body, you may notice muscle imbalances or may feel awkward doing certain movements. Pay attention to your body and poor habits and make necessary corrections.

Check your mindset. Pursuing your health and fitness goals is much bigger than nutrition and how active you are. Yes, those are key players but it's our mindset that is going to determine how far we get with our goals. Our body can accomplish so much. It's our mind we have to convince. Your mind is a very powerful instrument and we can either use it to make us or break us.
